Strickland and Fraizer Fight, Suspended 8 Games Wednesday, May 10th, 2034 The fans at Ballpark of Barrow College saw it all yesterday in the Commodores-Bulldogs game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Vanderbilt's Matt Strickland and Georgia's Darryl Fraizer were ejected from the game. Today the two players were suspended 8 games by the league commissioner. This season Strickland is hitting .282 with 10 home runs. This season Fraizer has made 10 relief appearances and has no saves. His record is 0-2 with 27 strikeouts in 27.2 innings with a 7.16 ERA. |
