Kilpatrick's 23-Game Hit Streak Ends Monday, May 8th, 2034 The 23-game hitting streak is over. Virginia Cavaliers right fielder Eric Kilpatrick failed to get a hit today against the Iowa State Cyclones and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 21-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 1-0 victory over the Cyclones at Ballpark of Redwood College. "I think I only made it to 23 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." This season Kilpatrick is batting .322 with 27 RBIs, 41 runs scored and 9 home runs. |
