Rowdy Players Suspended by League
Friday, April 28th, 2034
Baylor and Washington State were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 3-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Wolverines Stadium.
For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Bears Jim Conley and the Cougars Heath Youngblood will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served.
In 21 games Conley is hitting .155 this season with 11 hits, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs, 10 walks, .286 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
This season Youngblood has worked 22.2 innings with 32 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and a 5.16 ERA.
