Injury Sidelines Jared Delgado for Season

The season is finished for Jared Delgado of the Miami Hurricanes. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Hurricanes reliever suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Indiana State Sycamores. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal.
Taking a look at his season stats for 2034, Delgado has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 7.32 ERA. In pitching 19.2 innings, he has totaled 25 strikeouts and 17 walks.
