Corey Goes Deep 3 Times Thursday, April 20th, 2034 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Yellow Jackets-Tigers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Georgia Tech second baseman David Corey thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Georgia Tech to a 20-5 win over Clemson. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Corey said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Corey was 3-for-4 on the day with 6 runs batted in. David Corey hit a two-run home run off Jonathan Van Horn in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jonathan Van Horn in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joe Lowe in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season Corey has hit .230 with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 20 times. |
