Big Day with Bat: Hoene 5-for-6 Wednesday, April 19th, 2034 Chase Hoene really sizzled at the plate in today's 14-7 win over Tigers. The Long Beach State first baseman blistered LSU for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Hoene was too tough to get out today," the Tigers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Chase Hoene hit a two-run home run off Doug Young in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
