Cizek Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games

The number just keeps getting higher.
Houston right fielder Jason Cizek has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 5 at-bats as the Houston took the 7-4 win over the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns at Field of the Dukes.
"Who knows how long it will go on?" Louisiana-Layfayette manager Gerardo Torres said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Jason Cizek grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season Cizek has hit at a .429 clip and produced 36 RBI, 12 home runs and 25 runs.
