Stanford's Vigen to Miss Season Monday, April 17th, 2034 The season is apparently over for John Vigen. The Stanford Cardinals medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 12 months with a damaged elbow ligament. Vigen was hurt in the game against South Mississippi while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. So far this season, in 8 relief appearances Vigen has compiled an ERA of 0.96. He has pitched 9.1 innings, struck out 12, walked 2 and registered no saves. |
