Stem Launches 3 HR for Owls Saturday, April 15th, 2034 Whatever Randy Stem ate for breakfast before his game against the Oregon Ducks today, it gave him some impressive power. The Rice catcher smacked three balls up and out of the park at Toughkenamon College Fields. His home run barrage led the Owls to take the 7-5 victory over the Ducks. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 3 and put on a display that history will remember. Randy Stem flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Justin Mommaerts in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ray Proctor in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Russo in the 8th. This year Stem is hitting .310 with 18 hits, 7 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 11 runs. |
