LSU's Brantner Will Miss Season Tuesday, April 4th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Mitchell Brantner of the LSU Tigers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Brantner sustained his season-ending injury during the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns game yesterday at South Paris College Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the LSU medical staff reported Brantner had a fractured elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. |
