Rod Dedeaux League Names Top Player Monday, March 27th, 2034 21-year-old Matt Brooks made a few Louisiana-Layfayette headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Rod Dedeaux League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .520 average. Brooks collected 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 9 runs. |
