Season-Ending Injury for Brian Rea Thursday, March 23rd, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Brian Rea of the Vanderbilt Commodores didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rea sustained his season-ending injury during the Florida Gators game yesterday at Ballpark of Bismarck College. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Vanderbilt medical staff reported Rea had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. |
