Stone Jacks 3 into the Stands Wednesday, March 22nd, 2034 Fans are still buzzing after Fresno State whipped the Washington State Cougars by the score of 5-4 today at Brooks College Grounds. Danny Stone smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 6 at-bats, had 3 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Stone said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Stone said. "Three is just... wow." Danny Stone flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dave McCrudden in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Campton in the 8th, walked in the 10th, flied out in the 12th and hit a solo-shot off Eric Martindale in the 14th. |
