Washington State Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Tuesday, May 10th, 2033 Washington State Cougars center fielder Barry Wirfel said his team's effort to get into the playoffs fell "heartbreakingly short." But that's the situation they are faced with, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. The Cougars have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 21 years as a USA NCAA DIVISION I franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 15th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2018. |
