Titans End Cahall's Streak Saturday, May 7th, 2033 It was a doubly miserable day today for Bobby Cahall of the Texas Longhorns, as he saw his 28-game hitting streak end and his team lose 11-4 to the Cal State Fullerton Titans at Ballpark of Celebration College. The 19-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Titans. "Anyone on a 28-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Cal State Fullerton manager Jeffrey Woodruff said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Cahall is currently hitting at a .335 pace with 17 home runs, 54 RBIs and has scored 39 times. |
