5-for-5 Day for Seeger
Thursday, May 5th, 2033
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Ian Seeger of the Tennessee Volunteers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 16-6 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks at Ramparts Ballpark.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Ian Seeger hit a three-run home run off Kenny Bahr in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Carpenter in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
So far this year Seeger is batting .319 with 19 home runs, 57 RBIs and 36 runs scored.
