Thursday, May 5th, 2033
Doctors in South Carolina said Walt Edwards might not play anymore this year. The Gamecocks reliever suffered a damaged elbow ligament during a game against the South Illinois Salukis and will be out for at least 12-13 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
Taking a look at his season, Edwards has made 13 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark and a 4.50 ERA. In pitching 30 innings, he has totaled 23 strikeouts and 18 walks.
