Postseason Bid Ends for Stanford Thursday, May 5th, 2033 It won't be a season to remember for the Stanford Cardinals, as the club has officially missed out on the playoffs. The Cardinals were mathematically eliminated from qualification today. "With any luck, in a couple years we will look back on the 2033 season as an important stepping stone to a title," said Stanford starting pitcher Bubba Pell. Stanford last appeared in the postseason in 2029. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 20 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cardinals have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
