Eric McElveen Injured, Out for Season Tuesday, May 3rd, 2033 The season is finished for Eric McElveen of the Texas Longhorns. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Longhorns reliever suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the LSU Tigers. Team doctors said it would take at least 11 months to heal. This season McElveen has been credited with 1 save. In 8 relief appearances and 16.1 innings he has a 0-0 won-lost mark, a 15.43 ERA and 23 strikeouts. |
