League Punishes Pair for Fighting Tuesday, May 3rd, 2033 Arizona State and Texas A&M team officials have been notified by the league office that the Sun Devils Tim Sorrells and the Aggies Pat Weaver will be suspended 9 games each for their altercation in yesterday's game at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. They were the two main combatants in the bench-clearing brawl. So far this season Sorrells has gotten 28 hits in 120 at-bats for a .233 batting average with 6 home runs. His stats include 14 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 36 games. This season Weaver has been credited with no saves. In 10 relief appearances and 22 innings he has a 0-1 won-lost mark, a 6.55 ERA and 22 strikeouts. |
