Gators End Lopez's Streak Monday, May 2nd, 2033 Lady Luck was not on the side of Ivan Lopez or his teammates today at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Everything went the way of the Florida Gators, who not only came away with the 10-6 victory over Missouri, but also held Lopez hitless in 5 at-bats to put an end to his 29-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Lopez said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." So far this season Lopez is batting .316 with 6 home runs, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 50 hits in 158 at-bats, 15 walks and a .376 OBP. Lopez has played in 37 games. |
