Stark Socks it to LSU 3 Times Tuesday, April 19th, 2033 USC catcher Brett Stark blasted three homers today at South Paris College Grounds in the 17-2 Trojans victory over the LSU Tigers. For the game, Brett Stark scored 4 times and knocked in 5 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Stark when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Stark told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Brett Stark grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Ferderer in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Mitchell Brantner in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Steve Reider in the 8th and walked in the 9th. For the year Stark has hit at a .265 clip with 10 RBIs, 4 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
