Gators End Taylor's Streak Sunday, April 17th, 2033 Andrew Taylor, right fielder for the Arkansas Razorbacks, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Florida Gators today. Not only did the Gators break his 22-game hitting streak, they also beat Arkansas by the score of 11-7. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Taylor said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." For the year Taylor is batting .365 with 35 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 23 times and driven in 26. |
