League Gives Barber and Weekes 2-Game Suspensions
Saturday, April 16th, 2033
At a recent Tigers-Gamecocks contest at Magistrates Ballpark, Steve Barber of Clemson took exception to what Zaire Weekes of South Carolina said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players.

Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 2 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct."

In 23 games this season Barber has compiled a .217 batting average with 15 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 6 times and knocked in 4 runs.

During this season Weekes has delivered 0 saves. In 6 relief appearances, he has 13 strikeouts in 11.1 innings with a 4.76 ERA and no wins and no losses.
