Season-Ending Injury for Julio Uribe
Friday, April 8th, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Julio Uribe of the Stanford Cardinals didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Uribe sustained his season-ending injury during the Washington State Cougars game yesterday at Tribe Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Stanford medical staff reported Uribe had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

Uribe has 9 relief appearances this year with 4 saves. Uribe has also compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark with a 2.25 ERA. In 8 innings he has fanned 10.
