Injury Sidelines Jaiden Shepard For Year Thursday, April 7th, 2033 The doctors have spoken and Jaiden Shepard of the Tennessee Volunteers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Shepard sustained his season-ending injury during the North Carolina Tar Heels game yesterday at Bruisers Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tennessee medical staff reported Shepard had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
