Georgia Tech Snaps Russell's Streak at 21 Friday, April 1st, 2033 After 21 games, Wake Forest first baseman Matt Russell saw his hitting streak end when he went hitless in 2 at-bats. However, the Demon Deacans still managed to take the win, topping the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 7-3 at Castles Ballpark. "It was a good run," Russell said after the game. "It was bound to end at some point. I'm just glad we won the day it ended." Thus far this year Russell is batting .370 with 6 home runs, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
