Barker Goes Long 3 Times Thursday, March 31st, 2033 Art Barker was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 19-6 Michigan Wolverines triumph at Forney College Grounds today. The 20-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Wolverines past the Iowa State Cyclones. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Barker told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The right fielder went 3-for-6, rung up 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Art Barker hit a three-run home run off Ayden Dixon in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Earl Thiesen in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jon Clark in the 9th. So far this season Barker is hitting .244 with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 11 hits in 45 at-bats and a .286 OBP. |
