Hit Streak Now at 25 for Wilson

North Carolina lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide 7-4 at Bruisers Ballpark today, but Bryan Wilson kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Tar Heels first baseman has now delivered hits in 25 straight games.
"Bryan has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," North Carolina manager William Wilson told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Bryan Wilson grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Magee in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Magee in the 6th, walked in the 8th, walked in the 9th, walked in the 12th and struck out in the 13th.
So far this season Wilson is hitting .438 with 8 home runs, 15 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 21 hits in 48 at-bats and a .491 OBP.
