Russell Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, March 30th, 2033 The hot bat of Demon Deacans first baseman Matt Russell continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-5 in today's 18-6 loss to the Cavaliers at Ballpark of Redwood College. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Matt Russell flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chris Hensley in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Russell is presently hitting at a .359 pace with 5 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 10 games and scored 11 times. |
