Un-four-gettable: Hopgood Hits for Cycle Saturday, March 26th, 2033 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Surfers Ballpark. Bill Hopgood of the Stanford Cardinals accomplished the feat against Houston Cougars. Hopgood went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 8-7 Stanford victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Hopgood said after the game. Hopgood also scored 3 runs and had 3 RBI in a day to remember for both Hopgood and the crowd at Surfers Ballpark. Bill Hopgood singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Durkin in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
