Wednesday, June 9th, 2032
He's only 19 years old, but Blake Orlando of the LSU Tigers has clearly established himself as a star of USA NCAA DIVISION I.

His status grew today as the ace pitcher was named the winner of the 2032 Rod Dedeaux League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I just want to pitch well and win games," he said. "The awards are nice though."

Orlando's award-winning season saw him put up a 7-0 record through 9 starts, throwing 52.2 innings. He had 73 strikeouts with 12 walks and a 1.20 ERA. Opponents hit only .178 against him during the season.

Danny Cook of the South Mississippi Golden Eagles finished second in voting, while Joe Mann of the USC Trojans finished third.
