Wednesday, June 9th, 2032
A pitcher being voted the most valuable player in his league is a rare feat, and this year it did indeed happen. The 2032 Skip Bertman League Most Valuable Player Award has gone to North Carolina Tar Heels ace Mike Winter after a stellar 8-1 season.
In 10 starts he piled up 55 innings, 72 strikeouts, 27 walks and a 1.80 ERA. Winter held opposing hitters to a .178 batting average and compiled a 1.9 WAR along the way.
Eric Kilpatrick of the Virginia Cavaliers finished second in voting, while Bryan Wilson of the North Carolina Tar Heels finished third.
