RDL's Top Pitcher in May Is Cook Tuesday, June 1st, 2032 The South Mississippi Golden Eagles felt very secure when they sent Danny Cook out to the hill last month. The 19-year-old starter went after Rod Dedeaux League hitters with a vengeance and earned May's Pitcher of the Month award. He went 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA as he struck out 41 in 26.1 innings over 5 starts. Since joining the league, Cook has compiled an ERA of 1.52 with a career record of 7-1. He has 83 strikeouts in 53.1 innings and has held opponents to a .176 batting average. |
