Beasley Bashes 5 Base Hits
Sunday, May 16th, 2032
It was a good day at Ballpark of Macclenny College. The Long Beach State 49'ers whipped the Texas Longhorns 8-6 and catcher Bill Beasley showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-6 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Beasley told BNN reporters after the game.
49'ers manager Richie Robertson told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 20-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Bill hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Bill Beasley struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Evan Ford in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Craig Mehlin in the 9th and singled in the 12th.
So far on the season Beasley is hitting .401 with 20 home runs, 51 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 59 hits and played in 36 games.
