Beasley Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, May 16th, 2032 It was a good day at Ballpark of Macclenny College. The Long Beach State 49'ers whipped the Texas Longhorns 8-6 and catcher Bill Beasley showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-6 at the plate. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," Beasley told BNN reporters after the game. 49'ers manager Richie Robertson told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 20-year-old "focused and patient." "It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Bill hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." Bill Beasley struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Evan Ford in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Craig Mehlin in the 9th and singled in the 12th.
