Clemson's Bernardin Snaps Up Player of the Week

Pitchers who faced the Clemson Tigers last week were happy to see Omar Bernardin in the rear-view mirror. The 19-year-old first baseman was dubbed the Skip Bertman League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .583 clip.
For the week he also chalked up 14 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
This season Bernardin is batting .361 with 11 home runs. He has scored 31 runs and driven in 31.
