Hampe Socks it to Seminoles, Cracks 5 Hits
Tuesday, May 4th, 2032
It was high-fives all around for Aaron Hampe at Ballpark of Riverdale College today.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Florida State Seminoles. Hampe smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 24-7 win.
"Aaron was hitting everything," said Jayhawks manager Nakazo Kobayashi. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Seminoles manager Gene Barraclough told BNN beat writers that Hampe "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Hampe oversleeps next time."
Aaron Hampe grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Nate Stevenson in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off John Spears in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
Hampe is presently hitting at a .143 pace with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 27 games and scored 9 times.
