Lewis Goes on Rampage Against Sycamores
Friday, April 30th, 2032
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Virginia's 10-6 win over Indiana State today, catcher Sam Lewis was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Pit Vipers Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Lewis said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Sam Lewis hit a solo-shot off Jason Roberts in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season Lewis is batting .376 with 35 hits, 16 home runs, 31 RBIs, .491 OBP and has scored 31 runs.
