Muller Sizzles -- Smokes Hurricanes for 5 Hits
Thursday, April 29th, 2032
It was a sensational day at the plate for Walt Muller as he led the charge to a 14-2 win over the Hurricanes. The Florida State right fielder was pure misery for the Miami pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Muller put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Leslie Hanson, manager for the Hurricanes, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Walt Muller hit a two-run home run off Gabe George in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a three-run triple in the 9th.
So far this season Muller has hit .390 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 23 times.
