League KO's Owls-Ducks Players with 5-Game Suspensions Monday, April 26th, 2032 There were a few hotheads at the Rice-Oregon game at Toughkenamon College Fields yesterday, but the cooler heads prevailed and kept fisticuffs to a minimum. It all started when Justin Weseman of the Owls and Scott Klink of the Ducks apparently exchanged some verbal unpleasantries and rushed at one another and began wrestling on the ground. Both benches emptied, but didn't get involved other than a little shoving. Order was quickly restored, the two instigators were ejected by the umpires and the game continued. The league office took quick action and today announced that both players would be suspended 5 games for inappropriate on-field behavior. Thus far this year Weseman is batting .195 with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
