Year Over for Bears Pensabene Friday, April 23rd, 2032 Watching David Pensabene getting helped off the field today at Ballpark of Macclenny College, fans of the Baylor Bears feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 14 months with a stretched elbow ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Pensabene suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the 49'ers. This year Pensabene has worked 20.2 innings with 23 strikeouts en route to a 0-2 record and a 5.66 ERA. |
