Danny Walker Out of Action
Sunday, April 18th, 2032
Danny Walker at first refused to leave today's Cal State Fullerton-California game after he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty California reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Walker out of action for 13 months.
Walker has pitched 16.2 innings and molded a 4.86 ERA with no saves. He has surrendered 18 hits while registering 10 strikeouts on his way to a 0-0 record for the Golden Bears this year.
