Gamecocks Grove Out of Action Thursday, April 15th, 2032 The South Carolina Gamecocks will be minus Jim Grove for about 12 months after the third baseman suffered a ruptured medial collateral ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Grove and Gamecocks skipper Orlando Torres had been hoping the post-game examination would show less damage than originally thought. In the current season, Grove has put up a .262 batting average with 11 hits, 3 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 11 runs. |
