5-Hit Blitz by Oregon State's Campbell Monday, April 5th, 2032 The Oregon State Beavers stopped the Ole Miss Rebels by a score of 17-9 at Palisades Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Jason Campbell. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Campbell said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Campbell did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Rebels. "Not much that I can say," offered Ole Miss manager Bobby Wynn. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jason Campbell singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Mike Ison in the 8th.
