#1 Player Named by Rod Dedeaux League
Wednesday, June 4th, 2031
The manager of the Long Beach State 49'ers said he thinks Bill Beasley is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 19, but it will be hard to top the catcher's 2031 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Rod Dedeaux League Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .429 batting average and a .524 on-base percentage this year. In 41 games he piled up 72 hits, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 22 home runs, 62 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Tommy Moore of the Arizona Wildcats finished second in voting, while Dylan Thompkins of the Houston Cougars finished third.
