Lamb Tops All, Wins SBL Most Valuable Player Award
Wednesday, June 4th, 2031
The best could still be yet to come for Troy Lamb of the Kansas Jayhawks, and that's the scary part.
At the age of only 19, the ace pitcher has accomplished a major feat, being named the 2031 Skip Bertman League Most Valuable Player Award winner.
His breakthrough campaign saw him put up a 7-0 record, while pitching 47.1 innings, with 43 strikeouts and 15 walks, for a 1.33 ERA. Lamb was tough on hitters all season long, as they only put up a .138 batting average against him.
"I had a lot of fun this season," the young talent said.
Bruce Berardi of the Florida Gators finished second in voting, while Brendan Webb of the Florida State Seminoles finished third.
