5 Hits for Jedi Knights Buford Saturday, October 7th, 2034 It seemed that New Orleans right fielder Tommy Buford could do no wrong as the Jedi Knights KO'd the Gnats, 9-1 today. Buford rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Gnats hurlers were throwing. "I think the Jedi Knights were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Nichols fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Buford in the postgame press interview. Tommy Buford hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
