Wilson Wins LBL Player of the Week Prize Monday, September 18th, 2034 24-year-old Tommy Wilson made a few Chippewa headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Lyman Bostock League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .522 average. Wilson collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. So far this season Wilson has hit .368 with 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 23 times. |
