Eddie Cory Hurt, Out for Year
Sunday, September 17th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Eddie Cory of the Westside Road Warriors didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Cory sustained his season-ending injury during the Okanagan Lake Monsters game yesterday at Elks Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Westside medical staff reported Cory had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months.

Checking out his stats for the season, Cory has notched 11 wins and 9 losses in 29 starts, 5.02 ERA and struck out 131 batters in 145.1 innings.
