Saturday, August 26th, 2034
Mal McClinton went 0-for-4 at Hornets Field today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 23 games. The 22-year-old Westside second baseman failed to get a hit today in the Road Warriors 8-6 victory over the Bethesda Hornets at Hornets Field.
McClinton did not make himself available to reporters after the game.
"I think Mal is a little upset," Westside manager Wilfred Brooks said. "He'll get over it."
For the season, McClinton is hitting at a .316 clip with 10 home runs, 51 RBIs and has scored 73 runs. He has 153 hits, 58 walks and a .390 on-base percentage.
